The Goal: 5,000 Conversations for Creation

Have a Conversation for Creation

Christians across the country are pledging to talk about caring for God’s creation with someone in their lives. Together, we’re starting 5,000 Conversations for Creation.

Let’s Talk About Creation Care.

God’s creation is beautiful, but it isn’t just a piece of scenery. It’s where we love our neighbors. It’s how we encounter God. And it’s what we’ve been entrusted to tend and keep.

Right now, creation is groaning. Climate change is harming the people and places we love, and it threatens to devastate the world we will leave our children.

Our faith calls us to respond. But where do we start?

With a conversation. Research shows the best thing each of us can do to address climate change is talk about it.

Join thousands of Christians across the country in talking to the people in your life about your love of creation, your concern about climate change, and how we can respond faithfully.

Our goal is simple: Start 5,000 Conversations for Creation. Will you commit to having one?

Progress: 5,000 Conversations for Creation

From California’s rugged coastline to Maine’s dense forests, Christians across the country are coming together to talk about God’s wondrous world. Each marker on the map below represents a person who has pledged to have a Conversation for Creation.

Three Steps: How to Have a Conversation for Creation

If talking about climate change feels intimidating, you’re not alone. But with a little preparation, your conversation for creation can become an opportunity to connect, listen, and encourage one another. Here’s how:

Listen First

Any good conversation starts with listening. Consider what matters to your conversation partner, and connect creation care to the people, places, and things they love.

Lead With Love

People respond to stories, not statistics. Tell your conversation partner about the places in creation that matter most to you, and share how climate change harms those places.

Speak From Faith

State why your faith calls you to care for creation. Explain not just that you see creation care as a duty, but how these actions help you deepen your love of God.
