All Truth is God's Truth with Joel Hunter

In this video Conversation, Joel Hunter again addresses the concept of fear—this time from a different angle. “I believe that all truth is God’s truth,” says Hunter, “so I am never afraid of truth—no matter who it comes from.”

I believe that all truth is God’s truth. So I’m never afraid of truth, no matter who it comes from. If I were starving to death and somebody handed me a piece of bread, I would not say, “Wait a minute. Are you a Christian?” I’d say, “Thank you.” So I’m not worried about atheists winning. But at the same time I have this great memory that many of the great scientists in western civilization were Christians who were discovering how God had worked in the world, who were discovering the nature of God.

You remember that famous quote from Kepler is, after he made a discovery, he just exclaimed, “I am thinking God’s thoughts after him!” It was like, “I just found out more about God!” So you don’t worry about: are the atheists going to teach us something that we shouldn’t learn? They’re not teaching us theology. They’re discovering things in science, and if you make accurate discoveries in science, ultimately a Christian will always, and many who are not Christian, by the way, will be led to this mysterious formation of the world that is remarkable. And even the atheists will be spellbound with awe and wonder. So we believe that good science will ultimately lead more people to God than it will lead away from God.
