As critical thinkers, we want to be willing to consider new or different perspectives with humility. But we also want to hold firmly to the essential beliefs of the Christian faith. We don’t want to become so rigid in our beliefs that we won’t even listen to other views or allow ourselves to ask questions or voice doubts. On the other hand, we also don’t want to become so open to different ideas that we uncritically accept questionable or heretical ones. As homeschool parents, how do we help our students strike the right balance? Seasoned homeschool moms Christy Hemphill and Kendra Terpstra, members of the team that developed the BioLogos INTEGRATE curriculum, will guide participants through Unit 1: Faith and Science Foundations.

In this webinar they will (a) highlight the benefits of using INTEGRATE with homeschool students, (b) demonstrate the flexible, open-and-go format, and (c) address some common misconceptions that arise when teaching students about science and faith, including the idea that studying certain areas of science will open the door to atheism. Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a break-out session, meet other homeschooling parents, and get advice about science/faith integration that honors the Bible and takes science seriously.

Join us for this FREE virtual event on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 7:00 PM (ET). Registration is required. (Classy account creation is not required.)
