A teacher’s resource for exploring biology from a Christian worldview

BioLogos INTEGRATE was such a gift to use in combination with our standard curriculum for online learning when our students were sent home due to COVID-19. I was able to easily incorporate the activities into Nearpod presentations and Google Classroom, and the discussion questions were well suited for breaking students out into Zoom rooms from home. Through submitted student assignments, it was evident immediately that students were being challenged to think deeply and were growing in their faith through the process.

BioLogos INTEGRATE is a flexible teacher’s resource for exploring biology from a Christian worldview. It presents science in conversation with biblical faith. Designed for classroom teachers and home educators, INTEGRATE can be used alongside any science curriculum, or even on its own. It addresses common questions and concerns related to bioethics, creation care, origins, and other topics, and emphasizes virtues such as humility, wisdom, wonder. INTEGRATE helps Christian young people grow in their faith in Christ as they develop a deeper love and stronger understanding of the world God has made.

  • Is INTEGRATE for me?

BioLogos INTEGRATE is designed with the needs of Christian school teachers and home educators in mind.

While written for teachers of high school students, INTEGRATE can be successfully adapted for other ages as well—from middle school on up to college and beyond. Parents of public school students can also use it to help their kids make connections between science and faith. Adults who love to learn will also find this material engaging. Consider INTEGRATE also for your small group or Sunday school.

Pair INTEGRATE with your preferred biology curriculum, or pick a unit or two to enrich your other science, Bible, or worldview course. The modular design gives you flexibility to pick and choose the activities that best suit your goals, time constraints, and students’ interests.

INTEGRATE provided the structure I needed to have the kinds of conversations I wanted to have with my teenagers. Graciousness is woven into this unique curriculum, and that graciousness became a guiding principle for our conversations. INTEGRATE has organized all the data and lesson plans into an easy, open-and-go format. I’m thankful for all the fruitful discussions we were able to have, and I appreciated the presence of so many additional resources, should the students want to explore the ideas further.

  • The time has come for Christian schools to teach biology from a scientifically credible and distinctively Christian perspective. We must encourage students to run toward science, not away from it. BioLogos INTEGRATE uniquely addresses a long-neglected curricular need for Christian schools who are serious about preparing their graduates for critical and constructive engagement in science for college, career, and beyond.
