Dr. Steven Hoogerwerf is an associate professor of religion at Hope College where he has been on faculty since 1992. He teaches in the area of theology and ethics with focus areas that include Christian sexual ethics and medical ethics. Since coming to Hope, he has served as a healthcare ethics consultant to several area hospitals, nursing homes and hospices. Steven has served as a parish pastor, hospice chaplain and director of an emergency food and shelter program. He is the author of the book Honoring God with Body and Mind.
