Scott Buchanan

Scott has B.A. in Near Eastern Studies, a year of graduate theological study, and a B.S. and PhD in chemical engineering. He has worked for over three decades in industrial chemical and engineering research, mainly in heterogeneous catalysis. He is an inventor on over 100 U.S. patents.

His interest in creation/evolution issues was sparked in 2008 when someone at a church men’s retreat challenged him to use his technical background to help evangelical Christians get more clarity in this sometimes confusing area. Since then he has been blogging on various topics related to faith, science, and life. The online articles and discussions at BioLogos have been a helpful resource in this journey.
