Scott has B.A. in Near Eastern Studies, a year of graduate theological study, and a B.S. and PhD in chemical engineering. He has worked for over three decades in industrial chemical and engineering research, mainly in heterogeneous catalysis. He is an inventor on over 100 U.S. patents.
His interest in creation/evolution issues was sparked in 2008 when someone at a church men’s retreat challenged him to use his technical background to help evangelical Christians get more clarity in this sometimes confusing area.
