Roy Moye III
Roy Moye III is a dynamic speaker, singer, aerospace engineer, and the founder of STEMusic LLC. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University and has worked in the aerospace industry for the past 7 years. While at Spirit, he has helped design structural parts for the 777X, 767 Tanker, and 737 Max Boeing aircraft programs. In May of 2021, he made the leap to HR and now serves as a Talent Acquisition Specialist helping recruit and hire engineers while also leading the College Summer Intern Program.
As an accomplished singer, he has sung multiple National Anthems for professional sports teams and even shared the stage in 2017 with rapper Common while singing the chorus to the Oscar Award Winning song “Glory”. In the spring of 2019, he was a top 20 finalist on the nationally televised BET gospel singing competition “Sunday Best”. Most recently, Roy and his group by the name “1 Tribe Collective” received a Grammy Nomination for their Children’s Music Album “All One Tribe”. Along with Children’s music, Roy has a passion for serving youth in his hometown of Wichita Kansas where he mentors multiple students.
In 2019, he combined all of his gifts, talents, and abilities to launch his company STEMusic LLC. The mission of STEMusic is to inspire the next generation of multicultural STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) professionals through engaging and entertaining music. Roy thoroughly enjoys making this music that teaches students about STEM right where they are and he even has a Music Video for his song “We Call it STEMusic” that has garnered over 45 million views on YouTube. In addition to his love for making music, Roy is the creator and host of the STEMusic Podcast where he highlights professionals of color in the STEM industry.
Roy is passionate about living a purposeful and fulfilling life and is committed to helping others do the same.
