Organized by BioLogos
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, “science” has become a battleground. There’s an increase in polarization and misinformation around COVID-19, even in Christian circles, and it is costing lives. At BioLogos, we believe science is a gift from God, equipping the church for this pandemic. The virtual event on October 12 will feature Christians who are using science to care for others in this challenging year. Leading the conversation will be author Philip Yancey, whose best-selling books explore the Christian faith and the healing work of modern medicine. Yancey will be joined by:
- Julia Wattacheril, a Columbia University physician scientist who helped on the front lines of the COVID outbreak in New York City
- Carol Bremer-Bennett, U.S. Director of World Renew, the lead Christian relief agency serving the Navajo and Zuni peoples hard hit by the pandemic
- Deborah Haarsma, president of BioLogos and author of “A Christian Statement on Science for Pandemic Times”
This event is FREE, but registration is required.
A special thanks to The Dave and Carol Van Andel Family Foundation for sponsoring this event.
