April Maskiewicz Cordero, PhD, is a professor of biology and Dean at Point Loma Nazarene University. Her research focuses on developing more effective approaches for teaching ecology and evolution that enable students to develop not only factual knowledge, but biological ways of thinking and reasoning about the living world. As a Christian biologist trained in science education research, she is in a unique position to investigate science students’ perceptions of the relationship between scientific issues that evoke controversy (i.e. origins, evolution, human origins) and Christian faith. Dr. Maskiewicz Cordero gave a TEDx talk on evolution and faith and she was featured in “From the Dust,” a BioLogos sponsored documentary. She is also active in several professional development projects with schoolteachers as well as university biology faculty, is one of the six authors of the <a href="http://biologos.org/integrate">BioLogos Integrate curriculum</a>, and was one of four professors coordinating the PLNU/BioLogos Biology by the Sea Christian school teacher program.

Richard (Rick) Lindroth (Ph.D., University of Illinois-Urbana) is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Ecology Emeritus and former Associate Dean for Research at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. His research focused on evolutionary ecology and global change ecology in forest ecosystems. He has been a Fulbright Fellow and is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Ecological Society of America, the Entomological Society of America, and the American Scientific Affiliation. Funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other agencies, Rick and his research group have published 250 journal articles and book chapters. Rick is currently working as a Distinguished Research Fellow with <a href="https://www.thelumencenter.org/">The Lumen Center</a>, a community of scholars working at the intersection of Christianity and culture. He speaks to public and faith-based groups about creation care, climate change, biodiversity, and science denialism/communication (see this profile in <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/religion/2022/04/16/climate-despair-christian-scientist-finding-hope/">The Washington Post</a>). Rick serves on the Board of Directors for <a href="https://arocha.us/">A Rocha USA</a> and an advisory board for <a href="https://scienceforthechurch.org/">Science for the Church</a>. He and his wife have two daughters and three grandchildren. For recreation, they enjoy road cycling, flyfishing and reading, though not necessarily in that order.

Richard Middleton (PhD Free University of Amsterdam) is Professor of Biblical Worldview and Exegesis at Northeastern Seminary (Rochester, NY) and adjunct professor of Old Testament at the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology (Kingston, Jamaica). He is past president of the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies (2019–2021) and past president of the Canadian-American Theological Association (2011–2014). He holds a BTh from Jamaica Theological Seminary and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Guelph (Canada). Middleton is the author of <i>Abraham’s Silence: The Binding of Isaac, the Suffering of Job, and How to Talk Back to God</i> (Baker Academic, 2021); <i>A New Heaven and a New Earth: Reclaiming Biblical Eschatology</i> (Baker Academic, 2014); and <i>The Liberating Image: The Imago Dei in Genesis 1</i> (Brazos, 2005). Jonathan A. Moo (PhD, University of Cambridge) is the Bruner-Welch Endowed Chair in Theology and professor of New Testament and environmental studies at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He holds graduate degrees in both wildlife ecology and biblical studies and has written a number of articles and books on the understanding of nature in early Judaism and Christianity and on environmental ethics. His books include Let Creation Rejoice: Biblical Hope and Ecological Crisis (IVP) and Creation Care: A Biblical Theology of the Natural World (Zondervan). He has worked extensively with the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion in Cambridge (UK), whose work he continues to support as President of the Friends of Faraday in the USA, and he serves on the board of the Christian conservation organization, A Rocha USA. Lynette Strickland is an Assistant Professor in the biology department at Boston University and Principle Investigator at the Cassidine Ecology Evolutionary Genomics Lab. She received a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was a Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute PreDoctoral Fellow. She received her B.S. in Marine Biology from Texas A&amp;M. Her research, focusing on how ecological and genomic factors shape a naturally-occurring color polymorphism in Neotropical beetles, has been published in journals such as <em>Heredity</em> and <em>Evolutionary Biology</em>. Jeff Hardin is chair of the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin. In addition to numerous scientific research articles relating to embryonic development, Hardin is senior author of World of the Cell. He received a Master of Divinity degree at the International School of Theology in Southern California, where he met his wife, Susie, who worked in campus ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). David C. Lahti is an Associate Professor of Biology at Queens College, City University of New York, where he runs a Behavior &amp; Evolution laboratory focusing mainly on learned behavior in birds and humans. Prof. Lahti received a BS in biology and history from Gordon College. He received a PhD in moral philosophy and the philosophy of biology at the Whitefield Institute, Oxford, for a study of the contributions science can and cannot make to an understanding of the foundations of morality. He then received a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Michigan for a study of rapid evolution in an introduced bird. He has been a Darwin Fellow at the University of Massachusetts and a Kirschstein NRSA Research Fellow with the National Institutes of Health, where he studied the development and evolution of bird song. His current research projects include rapid trait evolution following species introduction, cultural evolution in humans and animals, and the evolution of our capacity for morality and religion.

Bill Newsome is the Harman Family Provostial Professor of Neurobiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and the Vincent V.C. Woo Director of the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. Felicia Song is a cultural sociologist who studies the social effects of digital technologies on community and identity in contemporary life. Trained in history, communication studies, and sociology from Yale, Northwestern and University of Virginia, she is Professor of Sociology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. She is author of <em><a href="https://www.ivpress.com/restless-devices">Restless Devices: Recovering Personhood, Presence and Place in the Digital Age</a></em> (Intervarsity Press Academic, published in 2021). This book explores how our contemporary digital habits fundamentally form us in ways that shape loves and imaginations of what it means to be human. This book binds sociology and theology together, arguing that both are needed for understanding how to live wisely in a digitally saturated society Her prior research includes her first book, <em>Virtual Communities: Bowling Alone, Online Together</em> (Peter Lang, 2009) which explored the democratic efficacy of online communities, and other studies on expectant women's online information-seeking habits and the evolution of "mommy bloggers". When she is not working, she enjoys tending the garden, learning to bake bread, and daydreaming about becoming proficient with the bass guitar.

Ben McFarland teaches biochemistry and chemistry at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington. He grew up near Kennedy Space Center and wanted to be a paleontologist in the second grade. He received a dual B.S. in Chemistry and Technical Writing from the University of Florida and a Ph.D. in Biomolecular Structure and Design from the University of Washington. His research uses the rules of chemistry to redesign immune system proteins. In 2013 he received an Evolution and Christian Faith (ECF) grant from BioLogos to write A World From Dust: How the Periodic Table Shaped Life (Oxford University Press, 2016). Praveen is Professor of Physiological Genomics and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cornell University. He is also Director of the Cornell Center for Vertebrate Genomics. He leads a research lab focused on genome-scale and molecular approaches to understand physiology and human disease. Praveen received his BA degree from Cornell University and his PhD in Genomics from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Human Genome Research Institute under the mentorship of NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins, he moved in 2011 to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics. The same year he was selected by Genome Technology as one of the nation’s top 25 rising young investigators in genomics. In 2017, he returned to Cornell University as an Associate Professor. Praveen has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals such as PNAS, Cell and Science and has served as a reviewer for over 50 different journals. Honors include a faculty merit award for outstanding teaching and mentoring, the prestigious American Diabetes Association Pathway To Stop Diabetes Research Accelerator (which is awarded to only three people per year), and the inaugural Boehringer Ingelheim Award for Excellence in Research Mentorship. Praveen is an advocate for thoughtful discussion at the interface of science and faith and has served on the advisory board of the Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), serves on the Board of BioLogos, is a frequent speaker for the BioLogos Voice Program and the Veritas Forum, and a mentor in the Veritas Faculty Scholars program.

Craig Story is Professor of Biology at Gordon College, a small non-denominational Christian college located on the North Shore of Massachusetts. There, he teaches a number of cell biology courses including immunology and biochemistry, and serves as the health professions advisor. He studied antibody transport in pregnancy for his doctoral research at Brandeis University, and in his postdoctoral training at MIT and Harvard Medical School he worked on an unusual virus immune evasion process. Since 2013, Dr. Story has worked with church leaders, seminary professors, and the public to foster important conversations about science and the Christian faith. He keeps busy with beekeeping, gardening and observing God’s marvelous creation.

Julia Wattacheril, MD, MPH is a clinician investigator, transplant hepatologist, and director of the adult nonalcoholic fatty liver disease program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center - NY Presbyterian Hospital. As a Christian, her passion for faith and work integration began in medical school in Houston at the Baylor College of Medicine. After moving to NYC, she completed the Gotham Fellowship at the Center for Faith and Work and continues to develop innovative ways to implement spiritual tools to help healthcare providers and the patients they serve. She has a particular heart for connecting with people at the fringes of any sphere but particularly in academic medicine.

Ryan Bebej is a professor in the Department of Biology at Calvin University, where he was selected as professor of the year in 2017. He earned his Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology with a focus in paleontology from the University of Michigan. His research focuses on the evolution of aquatic mammals from terrestrial ancestors, including cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) and pinnipeds (seals, sea lions, and walruses). He is especially interested in the earliest stages of these large-scale evolutionary transitions and the anatomical modifications that facilitate changes in swimming mode. He has excavated skeletons of fossil whales at Wadi Al-Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Egypt’s western desert, and he routinely spends time working in collections at world-renowned museums. Ryan is also deeply interested in the relationship between science and Christian faith. In addition to being a member of BioLogos Voices since 2016, he has been a Scholarship and Christianity in Oxford (SCIO) visiting scholar in science and religion and a participant in SCIO's Bridging the Two Cultures of Science and the Humanities II program. When he isn’t working, he loves spending time with his wife and two sons, playing German tabletop games, and rooting for the Michigan Wolverines and St. Louis Cardinals.

Sarah Bodbyl Roels is Associate Dean at the Van Andel Institute Graduate School where she supports the curriculum, student fellowships, and student internships. Sarah earned her doctorate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Kansas, where she studied mating system evolution, behavioral ecology, and conservation. Postdoctoral experiences at Michigan State University formed Sarah's continuing interests in science communication and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Prior to her current appointment, Sarah supported faculty development at Colorado School of Mines, offering professional teaching and learning opportunities across the university. Sarah enjoys assisting continuous improvement of teaching and learning across all instructional levels.

Sarah is a member of the BioLogos Voices speakers bureau, the Advisory Council, and the BioLogos <a href="https://biologos.org/integrate/">Integrate</a> curriculum development team. Sarah passionately explores the relationship between science and faith and appreciates opportunities to learn from others.

As Senior Scholar of BioLogos, Dr. Jeff Schloss provides writing, speaking, and scholarly research on topics that are central to the values and mission of BioLogos and represent BioLogos in dialogues with other Christian organizations. He holds a joint appointment at BioLogos and at Westmont College.

Schloss holds the T. B. Walker Chair of Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and directs Westmont’s Center for Faith, Ethics, and the Life Sciences. Schloss, whose Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology is from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, often speaks to public, church-related, and secular academic audiences on the intersection of evolutionary science and theology. Among his many academic publications are <em><a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0199597081/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0199597081&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=thebiofou06-20">The Believing Primate: Scientific, Philosophical, and Theological Reflections on the Origin of Religion</a></em> (Oxford University Press), which he edited with philosopher Michael Murray.

Schloss has also participated in a number of invitational collaborations on topics in evolutionary biology, emphasizing various aspects of what it means to be human, hosted by several universities, including Cambridge, Edinburgh, Emory, Harvard, Heidelberg, Oxford, and Stanford. Dennis Venema

Dennis Venema is professor of biology at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. He holds a B.Sc. (with Honors) from the University of British Columbia (1996), and received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2003. His research is focused on the genetics of pattern formation and signaling using the common fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. Dennis is a gifted thinker and writer on matters of science and faith, but also an award-winning biology teacher—he won the 2008 College Biology Teaching Award from the National Association of Biology Teachers. He and his family enjoy numerous outdoor activities that the Canadian Pacific coast region has to offer.

Cara Wall-Scheffler is Professor and Co-Chair of Biology at Seattle Pacific. Her research focuses on the evolution of human sexual dimorphism, particularly in the context of balancing the pressures of thermoregulation and long-distance locomotion. Her work shows very clearly that different selection pressures have acted on men and women, and that women in particular have a rare (among mammals) ability to work both efficiently and economically when carrying loads.

John Walton is an emeritus professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College in Illinois and an editor and writer of Old Testament comparative studies and commentaries. Throughout his research, Walton has focused his attention on comparing the culture and literature of the Bible and the ancient Near East. Ted Davis

Ted Davis is Professor of the History of Science at Messiah College. A former high school science teacher, Ted studied history and philosophy of science at Indiana University, where his mentor was the late Richard S. Westfall, author of the definitive biography of Isaac Newton. With the English historian Michael Hunter, Ted edited <em>The Works of Robert </em><em>Boyle, 14 vols.</em> (London: Pickering &amp; Chatto, 1999-2000), but his interests include the whole 2000-year interaction of Christianity and science. Author of dozens of scholarly articles and essays, Ted is one of few historians who have written extensively about both the Scientific Revolution and modern America. He and his wife Kathy enjoy theater, music, and traveling to new places.
