For K-8: Elemental Science provides lesson plans and teaching schedules, while relying on outside books (published by Usborne, DK and others) for the bulk of the science content. Elemental Science offers either a classical or living books approach to teaching science. Though the author is a Christian, she does not include a religious viewpoint in the materials. Elemental Science includes books that come from an evolutionary standpoint.
For high school: Elemental Science offer live online courses in biology and physical science. These courses are two semester courses which meet twice weekly (beginning in August and running through December and then picking up for the second semester in January) with a live teacher in a classroom and lecture/discussion time. The course also includes homework, quizzes, and tests which are graded and the student receives a semester course grade for their work.
We need your help.
As Christians, we know through God’s Word how much he loves us—that we are ”fearfully and wonderfully made” and to be image bearers among his expansive, divine creation.
Sadly, this view isn’t always accepted among the church and the world.
Many Christians today still don’t accept the findings of modern science, and that affects everything from caring for God’s creation to getting vaccinated. Many are also departing or rejecting the faith over the perceived science and faith conflict.
This is where you can help.
BioLogos has become a trusted resource for so many who may have a fear or distrust in science. But we need to do more. With your gift to our summer fundraising campaign, we can show how science and faith work hand in hand to create a better world.
