Paul A. Nelson
Paul A. Nelson is a philosopher of biology specializing in evolutionary developmental biology and is an advocate of young earth creationism. He received his doctorate in philosphy from the University of Chicago in 1998. Nelson is a fellow of both the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture and of the International Society for Complexity, Information and Design. Nelson represented the young earth creationist position in the book Three Views on Creation and Evolution. He also has written several articles on the philosophical aspects of evolutionary biology. Nelson is the grandson of the creationist author and Lutheran minister Byron Christopher Nelson. He edited a book of his grandfather's writings titled The Creationist Writings of Byron C. Nelson.
