John MacArthur
After emerging from Talbot Theological Seminary in 1969, John MacArthur joined Grace Community Church in Sun Valley California where he is now a successful pastor and teacher. MacArthur is also an author, conference speaker, president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and featured teacher with the Grace to You media ministry, a nonprofit organization founded in 1969 that develops, produces and distributes a variety of different media resources including MacArthur’s books, audio programs, and the “Grace to You” radio and television programs. Its influence is worldwide, with radio programs airing 1,000 times daily in both English and Spanish to various locations in every continent. The books written by MacArthur have had a wide reach of influence as well. Throughout the course of his writing career, he has written almost 400 books and study guides. His most recent publications include Truth Endures, Luke 6-10 (MNTC), Slave, and Rebuilding God’s City: Israel Returns from Exile (an Old Testament study guide). His most notable book is the MacArthur Study Bible, having sold over a million copies and received a Gold Medallion Book Award. According to Christianity Today, MacArthur is one of the most influential preachers of his time.
