Douglas Axe

Douglas Axe is the director of Biologic Institute and is currently using both experiments and computer simulation to study the functional and structural constraints of protein evolution. After receiving his Ph.D. from Caltech, he held postdoctoral and research positions at the University of Cambridge, the Cambridge Medical Research Council Centre, and the Babraham Institute in Cambridge. His work has been reviewed in Nature and presented in several books, magazines and newspaper articles. This includes Simon Morris’s Life’s Solution, Michael Behe’s The Edge of Evolution, and Stephen Meyer’s Signature in the Cell.
