"Worlds Apart is the only book on the hotly-debated topic of evolution published by the denominational press of the conservative Church of the Nazarene. The book was controversial and appeared over the objections of key Nazarene leaders. Since then, it has been used widely at various Nazarene and other evangelical colleges to counter fundamentalist approaches to origins. I have written this book for my students, hopefully to help them avoid some of the snares that once entangled me. The reader must judge whether my argument succeeds, whether the following pages unfold naturally into a fan to produce a cooling breeze - or whether they should be crumpled and thrown into the fire!"
