Alister McGrath is the newly established Chair of Theology, Ministry, and Education in the department of education and professional studies at King's College, London. He is the academic leader of the school’s Centre for Theology, Religion, and Culture, and is involved in theological research and professional development of clergy from a range of Christian denominations. McGrath’s publications include major explorations of natural theology, the relationship between science and religion, and engagements with the “new atheism,” especially those forms that argue for the intrinsic atheism of the natural sciences. His books include Dawkins’ God: Genes, Memes and the Meaning of Life, The Open Secret: A New Vision for Natural Theology and A Fine-Tuned Universe: The Quest for God in Science and Theology. McGrath has also given keynote lectures on Christian theology at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
