BioLogos-Gordon College Conference 2010: "A Dialog on Creation"

The BioLogos-Gordon workshop offered a unique opportunity to explore questions at the intersection of science & faith. The inaugural BioLogos workshop, titled “A Dialog on Creation” and held on the beautiful campus of Gordon College on Boston’s historic North Shore from June 9-12, drew diverse participants for a three-day program sponsored by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities focusing on issues related to origins and the harmony of science and faith. The senior staff of The BioLogos Foundation – Darrel Falk, Karl Giberson and Pete Enns – led the workshop sessions and Claudia Beversluis, provost of Calvin College, shared her vision for Christian higher education and Calvin’s journey navigating science curriculum.

Over fifty people attended the first conference. Here's what they had to say:

"This conference and the BioLogos Foundation in general provided me with more confidence in my own scientifically informed religious beliefs. Knowing that there are other scientifically informed religious believers who are not afraid to hide their views at Church or in the Academy is both a comfort and a challenge to be more expressive of my own beliefs."

-Brian Glenney, Gordon College

"I made some great friends, heard some wise words, and hope to collaborate with these folks in the years to come. It was a memorable and remarkable meeting."

-Michael Buratovich, Spring Arbor University

"Science and Faith are two huge spheres of influence in my life and bringing them together I experience something greater than the sum of the parts. It makes me even more enthusiastic about my work and my research is no longer just a means to earn a Ph.D.; it becomes something greater, something grander."
