Mending the Disconnect

This month we’re featuring the post of Lara Touryan-Whelan—a scientist, children’s ministry leader, wife, and mother of two.

While working on her doctorate in bioengineering at the University of Washington, she and her husband taught Sunday school to second graders for almost 10 years. Then after they moved to Southern California, Lara began leading her church’s second and third grade program.

Seeing a need for homeschool materials that faithfully explore both the physical world and the spiritual world, Lara coauthored a book entitled Wonders In Our World: Insights From God’s Two Books.
