Are you a scholar or leader in the church? If so, you’ll want to take note of the latest BioLogos project: A $3.5 million grant program called Evolution & Christian Faith. Supported by The John Templeton Foundation, the three-year program aims to establish a community committed to addressing theological and philosophical concerns commonly voiced by Christians regarding evolutionary creation.
Individuals or teams of scholars and/or church leaders are invited to submit a pre-proposal via our electronic portal at EvolutionChristianFaith.org by June 15, 2012. Successful applicants will then be invited to submit full proposals. Awards from $30,000 to $300,000 will be granted for research and collaboration on a wide range of possible topics (see website for examples). Grantees will also have the opportunity to connect with science/faith thought leaders during a series of summer workshops.
Preference will be given to those projects which have direct relevance for helping the church explore evolutionary creation in fresh and constructive ways.
