The 2013 ECF Workshop
This week, the recipients of our Evolution & Christian Faith grants have gathered together with BioLogos scholars and special guests at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass., for our first annual ECF Workshop. The week-long event will serve as a time of learning and collaboration for the grantees as they begin the first steps of their efforts to address theological and philosophical questions commonly voiced by Christians about evolutionary creation.
The workshop’s five plenary lectures all center on the question “Why Do Evolution and Christian Faith Matter?” Each talk will focus on a different aspect of the science and faith dialogue: biblical studies, science, contemporary culture, college campuses, and the Church. These lectures will be supplemented with times of worship and fellowship. The final two days of the event are dedicated to independent study, with a focus on dialogue and collaboration between the 37 different grant teams.
We’re excited to see the energy and enthusiasm coming from all our ECF grantees, and we’ll be sure to keep our readers updated with all the latest news from these exciting projects in the coming months.
