Our NYC Workshop
On April 23, nearly 100 pastors, scholars, scientists, and campus ministers gathered at the Harvard Club in New York City for our fourth Theology of Celebration workshop. The following three days were filled with worship, learning, and discussion, all centered on the harmony of Christian faith and modern science.
This year's focus was on campus ministers, gathering dozens of leaders from some of the nation's foremost campus ministry organizations, as well as university chaplains and pastors of churches near some of the most prestigious universities in North America.
"The meeting was a great success!" says BioLogos web editor Emily Ruppel, one of the event's attendees. "Pastors, scientists, theologians, and campus ministers convened in lecture halls and around dinner tables at the Harvard Club to discuss how modern science (specifically evolutionary biology) can both inform and enhance Christian faith. Kind and respectful discourse characterized even the most controversial of conversational topics, and attendees shared both their academic viewpoints as well as their own personal stories of faith and thought to help build bridges of understanding across a variety of viewpoints."
Our prayer is that our esteemed guests will return home from this gathering energized and ready to explore the compatibility of faith and science with the next generation of Christians.
