Baylor Professors Affirm Harmony of Science, Faith

March 8, 2010

A group of professors from Baylor University and Baylor College of Medicine affirm the compatibility of science and faith in a recent editorial submitted to The Houston Chronicle.

“There is no necessary conflict inherent in the pursuit of scientific inquiry within the context of our faith commitment,” they write. “While we remain true to our Christian faith and institutional mission, our research is leading to new discoveries regarding the human condition and the natural world.”

The article also praises Dr. Francis Collins for his work with the National Human Genome Research Institute and his book The Language of God. The full article can be read at www.chron.com.
