The BioLogos Forum is designed to foster a serious and comprehensive discussion of Christian faith and the sciences. We believe that charitable engagement of different perspectives within the Church helps sharpen our thinking and deepen our commitment to the truth that is hidden in Christ. Rediscovering Human Beings
Philosopher Edward Feser—who comes at the issue from a Catholic tradition assumed in some circles to be uniformly and “simply” dualist in its thinking about the essence of humanity as created by God—presents a sophisticated approach to thinking about “human being”: Feser affirms both the embodied and abstract aspects of our experience without suggesting that they are radically separated or two different “substances.”
