The BioLogos Forum is designed to foster a serious and comprehensive discussion of Christian faith and the sciences. We believe that charitable engagement of different perspectives within the Church helps sharpen our thinking and deepen our commitment to the truth that is hidden in Christ. So while many of the articles and videos under the distinctive Forum banner come from BioLogos staff and Senior Fellows, we feature a range of voices, including those that disagree with us and with each other. Francisco Ayala
Francisco Ayala is a philosopher and the Donald Bren Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, and a former Dominican priest. He is a popular author and lecturer on the compatibility of science and religion. He has received numerous awards and honors, including a 2001 National Medal of Science, the highest honor given by the government to scientists, and the 2010 Templeton Prize. Francisco Ayala Responds to “Signature of Controversy”
It is almost one year since Signature in the Cell by Stephen Meyer was released. The book now has 245 reviews on Amazon and was on Amazon’s 2009 best seller list for science books. One year later, it still remains in the top 3,000 overall. By many accounts, this is a highly successful book.
