Stan Ingersol, Ph.D., is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University, the University of Kansas, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Duke University. A church historian, he has been manager of the Nazarene Archives since 1985. He is the author of Nazarene Roots: Pastors, Prophets, Revivalists and Reformers (2009) and the forthcoming Past and Prospectfrom the Point Loma Press. He is a co-author of Our Watchword & Song: the Centennial History of the Church of the Nazarene (2009) and of What is a Nazarene?: Understanding Our Place in the Religious Community (1998, rev. 2013). A frequent contributor to church publications, he is on the editorial board of the Wesleyan Theological Journal.
