Randy Scott

Board Chairman

Randy Scott, Ph.D., has more than 25 years of experience as a scientist, entrepreneur and businessman. In addition to leading the board of The BioLogos Foundation, Scott is executive chairman of Genomic Health, a public biotechnology company he co-founded in 2000 and led as CEO for nine years.

Scott has written numerous articles about biotechnology for scientific publications, and he is a co-inventor on more than 20 U.S. patents. In 1997, he was named Silicon Valley Entrepreneur of the Year for life sciences by NASDAQ and Ernst & Young. Scott has also co-founded multiple successful biotech companies including Incyte, diaDexus and Genomic Health as well as Highway Media, Inc., which produces and distributes short films for church ministry.

Scott received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1979 from Emporia State University in Kansas and a doctorate in biochemistry from The University of Kansas in 1983.
