Joel Hunter

Joel Hunter is senior pastor of Northland, A Church Distributed, in Orlando, FL. Married to a biologist, Hunter has linked scripture and science throughout his ministry. He is on the boards of directors of Children’s Environment Health Network and First Green Bank. A signer of the Evangelical Climate Initiative, Grist magazine named him among the world’s top 15 religious environmental leaders. Hunter earned his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Christian Theological Seminary. He has honorary doctorates from Belhaven University, Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary. He served on President’s Obama’s Faith-Based Advisory Council and holds leadership roles in the National Association of Evangelicals and the World Evangelical Alliance.
