Charley Gordon

Board Member

Charles R. Gordon, M.D. is a clinician, scientist, and entrepreneur. Most of all, he’s a man uniquely committed to seeing God’s handiwork in daily life—whether in the operating room or spending time with his four kids.

As a neurosurgeon, Gordon has improved the lives of patients for nearly two decades—relieving pain and restoring mobility through spine surgery. This concern for his patients has led him to co-invent multiple devices for the spine. He and his staff continue to participate in research on novel treatments of spinal disorders. Additionally, he co-founded Texas Spine and Joint Hospital, a unique in-patient facility treating patients in East Texas.

He is the owner of a portfolio of companies and brands ranging from healthcare to the music industry.

Gordon speaks to church and academic audiences on recognizing God’s unmistakable design in nature. He writes about this topic on his blog, Designed on Purpose.

Gordon received a B.S. from the University of Texas and an M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed additional studies in neuroradiology at the Institute of Neurology at Queen Square, London.
