In Memoriam

We mourn the passing of Michael Cromartie on August 28, 2017. Michael served on the BioLogos Advisory Council since 2014, and his wise words, warm friendship, and joyful faith will be much missed. He was vice president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where he directed both the Evangelicals in Civic Life and Faith Angle Forum programs, which hosted several BioLogos speakers. He was also a senior advisor to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, a senior fellow with The Trinity Forum, and an advisory editor of Christianity Today magazine.

Michael Cromartie is vice president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, where he directs both the Evangelicals in Civic Life and Faith Angle Forum programs. A senior advisor to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life and a senior fellow with The Trinity Forum, he is also an advisory editor of Christianity Today magazine. In 2004, he was appointed to a six-year term on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, where he was twice elected chairman. Michael holds an M.A. in Justice from The American University in Washington, D.C.
